What is
Krion®
?
Krion is a material that is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. This material is composed of two thirds natural minerals (ATH: Alumina Trihydrate) and a low percentage of high-strength resins.
It works in a similar way to wood, which allows us to cut the sheets, join them together and even thermoform them to make curved pieces and even offers the possibility of being used in the production system by injection, making it possible to build designs and projects that are unattainable with other materials. We can create jointless spaces, which prevents the absorption of liquids and facilitates cleaning and maintenance.
It is an environmentally friendly material, as it is 100% recyclable. Any product made from this material can be reprocessed and used again in its production cycle.
ANTIBACTERIAL
Resistant to fungi and bacteria. Does not allow the proliferation of fungi and bacteria.
ECOLOGICAL / 100% RECYCLABLE
Every product manufactured with Krion can be reprocessed and used again in the production cycle once its life cycle has ended.
NON-POROUS:
Krion is a non-porous material, which prevents bacteria from accumulating.
This property makes it ideal for environments with high hygiene and sanitary requirements such as operating rooms or clean rooms.
FLEXURAL RESISTANCE:
Krion has high flexural strength values, which makes it easier to transport and allows for the manufacture of aesthetically pleasing shelves and surfaces with greater safety than with other materials.
LIGHT:
The density of Krion is lower than that of other solid surfaces such as technical porcelain, artificial quartz or natural marble, and this is therefore reflected in its ease of handling.
EASY TO CLEAN:
In the event of any intense stain or superficial burn, graffiti or markers, the material is immediately returned to its original state simply by following our recommended cleaning instructions.
RESISTANCE TO EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS:
Krion surfaces are designed to withstand extreme environments, such as marine environments, exposure to steam, immersion in water or icy environments, among others.
HIGH MINERAL COMPOSITION::
This material is composed of two-thirds natural minerals and a low percentage of highly resistant resins.
THERMOFORMABLE:
Krion sheets are thermoformable and can be used to generate smooth curves and shapes with different radii using this technique.
FIRE RESISTANCE:
The Krion product family is considered non-combustible; with excellent fire performance, a material that does not contribute to the fire and is self-extinguishing. Classified according to UNE-EN 13501 as Euroclass B-s1-d0. It also complies with the USA Class A standard.
